Defoging

I had mentioned "defoging" sometime a week or so ago and decided to expand on it a bit after a few questions. So today here are two pictures..the first is SOC strait out of the camera.


The second is defogged in Photoshop (I have PSE5). Go to Enhance > unsharp mask and set the amount to 25; the radius to 50 and threshold to 0.


Its a suttle difference, but enough to just crisp up the whole picture.

Green Eyes

This was taken with my mom's P&S....I edited it just a tiny bit to make the eyes pop and then cropped it...the eyes really were the best part of the pic.

Breezy and cold...but at least the sun is out today.

Note about "defoging" which I mentioned a few posts back...I don't really know what defogging means, but I can tell you what it does...it seems to just sharpen up the entire picture. Maureen has her own photography business and she says she does this on every photo, even her regular snapshots. So give it a go if you haven't tried it yet. Tomorrow I'll try and post a before and after picture so you can see the difference.
